I’m delighted that Carmichael’s Bookstore, the oldest independent book shop in Louisville, Kentucky, now has (The) Last Year on its shelves in both Bardstown Road (which figures as a setting in the novel) and Frankfort Avenue. Thanks to Carmichael’s for giving (The) Last Year an outlet in my first home town.
